In this Monday Briefing, Suzanne covers the following:

California Governor Gavin Newsom signed the Safety Act, which prohibits school districts from requiring staff to disclose information about a student's sexual orientation or gender identity to parents. The act also protects school staff from retaliation if they refuse to notify parents of a child's gender.

Elon Musk announced that SpaceX and X will be relocating to Texas due to the Safety Act and other laws that he believes attack families and companies.

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson is leading a coalition appealing a decision that dismissed a lawsuit where a school allegedly helped a student with their gender transition without parental knowledge.
