Local School Board: Part 2, Serving Takes Grit!

Today’s message is about an Oregon school Board Director in Oregon. This school board member rocks! When falsely accused, she does not back down!

Before I get into that I just want to remind you how import it is to share your real life stories with Parents’ Rights In Education. We cannot get the attention of parents unless we can show them these events, these situations, these possible scenarios are actually happening in their state, in their district, and even in their school.

Years ago, we tried warning parents about the dangerous eventuality of specific laws, or district policies. They wanted to think, “nothing like that was happening in their school.”  So, they would ask a teacher or a friend to confirm their sense of confidence. That way nothing would have to change, and life could go on as usual, complete trust in the public school system.

Later, I began receiving phone calls and messages from parents in and out of state regarding every issue we represent, from gender identity counseling without parental knowledge, to unknown medical treatments  for their children.

2021 marks a new beginning for our organization. We have committed to launch a program designed to raise candidates and mentor public office holders. Right now we are encouraging citizens to recruit school board candidates!

The qualifications include grit. What I mean by that is a relentless drive to serve parents and stand for what’s right for ALL students, and families, even if it means standing alone.

I am sharing a RECENT news story today about just such a School Board Director, Lisa Maloney, Scappoose Oregon.

My analysis is similar to Lisa’s. Her board seat is up for re-election. I bet the progressives are targeting her race. We do not want to lose her. Lisa is not going down. She is a solid advocate for Parents’ Rights In Education.
